The Red Level at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora exudes luxury from the moment you arrive, with valet parking and a dedicated ambassador of Spanish luxury, the Lady in Red, to greet you and offer unique insights into the local culture and history of the hotel and surrounding area. The colonial style reception and lobby lead out to the exclusive adults only pool area, set amid an oasis of tropical landscaped gardens, with Bali style beds and sun loungers shaded by big white parasols. You don’t need to lift a finger while relaxing by the pool, as the Red Level pool concierge will take care of everything for you – from offering an array of drinks and snacks, to sun creams and chilled towels for your comfort.

Should you wish to retire to your room, you’ll find thoughtful touches such as iPhone and iPod docking stations atop the custom made mahogany furniture, built in reading lights in the headboard of your bed, and everything is soft-close so that nothing disturbs the peace. About the location

Red Level at Gran Melia Palacio de Isora can be found on Tenerife’s west coast, in the resort of Guia de Isora. It’s close to some of the island’s best beaches, with year round sunshine and warm weather providing the ideal climate for beach lovers. Guia de Isora is home to some excellent, family run restaurants where you can try authentic Canarian cuisine including melt in the mouth seafood dishes.

If you prefer to explore, take the cable car to the top of Mount Teide and take in the views of Tenerife’s volcanic landscapes. Alternatively, simply spend your days taking in the historic architecture of the town or admiring the harbour.

Unforgettable experience to be had again soon

The first experience was with the reception concierge who took care of our luggage when we arrived too early at the resort. Still, they waived any worries away, then took us to the main reception for check-in and while waiting for registration we were offered glasses of cold Cava of excellent quality. We were served during our registration process and never felt better at any of our five-star hotel reception experiences ever, we used the available time to walk around on the premises to get equally beautiful exotic walkways along the grass and palm trees and began our anniversary weekend first time with Melia Resorts. When we finished our round, the concierge picked up our luggage placed them in a golf cart and brought them to our Red Level service centre, the driver was Dieny Mayordomo, and he was just a lovely person making us feel the warm welcome we experienced the Caribbean with his generously smiling face and positive and respectful communication. Palacio De Isora is a big resort with lots of restaurants and relaxing areas with drinks or just a book, the saltwater pool was simply amazing and thanks to our anchor in the Palacio, the wonderful Dieny who took us around and showed us walkways and how easiest get to these various placed we were eager to experience his presence and his way of making us feel special among hundreds of tourists cannot be paid for in money. He was like meeting an old friend, simply easy-going. Our room was delicate and well equipped, the outside jacuzzi was relaxing before bedtime and the cleanness was impeccable, one of our highest criteria in hotels and resorts. Breakfast was simply high delicious quality, lunch even more like six stars as were the services and every guest we spoke with said the same, the restaurants we visited was a good experience we enjoyed fully. The day we were ready to leave we were picked up by our Dieny and he followed us to the last handshake, he is a true gentleman and a wonderful person we cannot thank him enough and we will see him again. Maybe he then oversaw customer relations or was part of the strategy team, he delivered a great Five-Star-Impression as did others but a special experience for us. We thank all Palacio De Isora Resort staff for providing an unforgettable stay and we will now look at Gran Melia when we travel from now on to new destinations being your ambassadors, thank you and see you next year again. Our flight was delayed No one met us at the door for meet and greet a simple glass of water on arrival after a full day do travel and someone to take us to our red level for family room .. this is how dirty our room was ! Damp smelly mattresses , Stain’s ans dust in all the wood panelling . The truth is we have been to the grand Melia 12 times and had a wonderful time , we pushed the boat out for my fathers 80th and it was our dream to take them Red level , my parent had both not travelled due to ill heath , they stayed in red level and we stayed in red level for families . The breakfast service was the worst and we all had to try to get a coffee taking over 24 mins for an 80 year old I wanted my dads holiday to be relaxing and not having to jump about for basics . How embarrassing as I was treating my parents to a special family childish after 11 years of not having a holiday together . We left the next day and still not had a full refund. Please don’t trust this hotel. They don’t care , they will take your money and not look after you . The music is so loud at night you can’t have a conversation or sleep and the tables are too high for the chairs on the dining hall. Be very careful .. This WAS the best hotel on Tenerife and we have been going for years and loved it always . However jumping to the next level and as they sell it “ elevate your stay !” Is not it’s just the same as normal level so don’t be having this e location of better quality food or service . Staff are under pressure and can’t cope to bring a coffee . The breakfast sausages are bad quality frankfurters and the bacon is like lab grown bacon! The fruit is not fresh .. staff are rude and assuming .. very difficult to get a glass of water of even order a breakfast at this level . To be honest this hotel has lost its quality and charm and sold its soul to a loud band and lost the quality customers who like to come half or full board they are now a glamorised all inclusive without the service. This hotel used to be a lovely 5 star hotel with a few glasses of wine served with meals . I get sorry for the staff , not enough of them they did not care for my elderly dad age 80 and he pushed his own suitcae to his room and back to reception when we left . Outrageous customer service I informed the hotel we were all travelling for the first time in 11 years together for my father’s birhthday. There was no water on the rooms and no feather pillows as requested , we also asked for a quiet location close to the restaurant and my parents who have hip ans knee problems were so far away from the breakfast area. We were all so upset and sad and lost a day on our Devine day having to move and find a new hotel , I spent a good few hours searching for 6 of us to move to a clean hotel . We ended up having to move to 2 hotel for our duration and I’m still so upset as the hotel Offered to move us but could not guarantee that the rooms would 1- be clean 2- be quiet area 3- improve service 4- provide short for my elderly parents 5- offer coffee to my parents room first thing in morning . 6- even although I had informed the hotel of my elderly parents in advance they still thought it was acceptable for both of my family of 4 and my parents to move rooms after arriving late and not getting a welcome red level service . Not even a glass of water offered on arrival to the 6 of us and no one took us to the restaurant or rooms just had converges take us .. this is not red level and “not elevating your stay “ on our 8 day family holiday . They could not provide a decent enough apologies d for the dirt on our family room which was the same room we had not red level but just very very dirty.
