Tivoli La Caleta

This is certainly a 5* hotel, the complex is spotless, the staff friendly and the food, whilst not always to my taste, was well cooked and beautifully presented with plenty of different foods that I did eat and enjoy. The pools are clean with a lifeguard on each pool (one of the pools is adult only). The location is away from the centre but easily walkable to La Caleta or Fanabe and it is possible to walk a lot further. There is also a good bus service to San Eugenio (bus number 467 I think) that stops outside the hotel. I had a special request for the room and not only did they confirm my request they actioned the request which few hotels manage to do! If you are coeliac then let them know in advance then they can assist. There is a gate at the beach side of the hotel so you and come and go via that entrance to walk along by the beach. I visited the observatory in the north of the island which was great, via Volcano Teide tour company, and had a great day. Even though I was half board the hotel kindly allowed me to swap a dinner for a lunch as the observatory was an afternoon/evening trip. People do say that the drinks are expensive however, try having a drink in a 5* hotel in your home country and see how it compares, I think that you will find that their prices are average but the service is good and you are in great surroundings. As other people have stated they do take a charge from your credit card but clearly the amounts deducted are only those that you spend! If you want something from the supermarket then there's one within a 3 min walk. There's a shopping complex, albeit quite small, in Playa Del Duque which is approximately a 15-20 minute walk along the beach route from the hotel. They have a good selection of shops. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and had a lovely stay. Thank you.

First class hotel with great service and top amenities. Thought the buffet restaurant was disappointing but otherwise can’t find fault .
