Perhaps one of the best adults-only luxury hotels in Tenerife, the Iberostar Mirador ticks all the boxes on what we expect from an hotel of this calibre: direct access to one of the nicest beaches in Tenerife, splendid, lagoon-style pools, a private VIP area for extra privacy and 1,000 m2 of magnificent spa. Iberostar Mirador is a palatial hotel by anyone’s standards. 


The hotel itself is an opulent architect’s dream: from the extravagant pool that laps at the terraces of columned restaurants to sumptuous interiors to neatly manicured lawns, there is nothing understated about the luxury here. Even the setting is sublime. The Iberostar Mirador is located just behind Playa del Duque, one of the finest beaches in the south on the island. A quick 15-minute stroll along the lovely paved promenade will bring you to upscale boutiques and traditional restaurants, while a 10-minute drive will deliver you to not one, but two Championship golf courses. 


Unsurprisingly, facilities are superlative. Iberostar Mirador is centred around a large pool that is flanked by three bars and restaurants. The emphasis here is on refined relaxing, meaning whether you are enjoying some of the finest dining on the island or curling up in a secluded sunspot you will have ample opportunity to rewind, reboot and reset. For top of the range pampering, the rooftop VIP area is strewn with Balinese style sun loungers and contains its own pool.

Bars & Restaurants

Three bars and three restaurants offer a spectrum of choice for the enthusiastic foodie. The hotels signature take on traditional Canarian cuisine is fast making it one of the top gastronomic hotspots on the island but it’s the hotel’s smoothie bar that is our favourite place.

El Cenador

This à la carte restaurant offers an excellent traditional Canarian cuisine with a balanced, tasty and creative menu of local products, many of which are from the hotel's own rural estate, El Ancón and elaborated by the young talent Rafael de Leon. Guests can choose to try the most popular dishes with two tasting menus and enjoy exclusive Canarian fine wines from the superb wine list. El Cenador is located inside the beautiful gardens of the hotel.

Open: 19:00–22:30 from Wednesday to Sunday

The restaurant is not recommended for children under 16 years of age. Gentlemen must wear long trousers and shirt. 

El Mirador

El Mirador boasts a lavish buffet serving international dishes with a Canarian touch. Guests can also enjoy watch expert chefs create delicious food at the show cooking stations.

Open: 07:30–10:30 and 19:00–22:00

Guests on half board can dine here. Gentlemen must wear long trousers and shirt.

La Pergola

This poolside à la carte restaurant is the perfect spot to taste some of the finest Mediterranean dishes. Enjoy the sea views while savouring tapas, meat dishes, or fresh seafood from La Pergola.

Open: 13:00–16:00 every day and 19:00–22:00 Sunday to Tuesday

La Tosca Bar

Relax with a cocktail in this elegant poolside bar while enjoying beautiful piano music.

Open: 10:00–00:00

Las Pardelas Snack Bar

This bar offers an extensive range of delicious snacks and refreshing smoothies throughout the day.

Beach & Pools

Hotel Iberostar Mirador has more than a pool - it has a lagoon! This glorious pool is almost as big as the hotel itself and laps at the terraces of bars and restaurants. Beach lovers will no doubt head straight for the fantastic Playa del Ducque - just a stone’s throw away.

Swimming Pool

Guests can relax around the expansive freshwater pool complex, which is spread out over more than an acre. Parasols and sun beds are available to use.

Beach

The beautiful Playa del Duque beach is a 5 minute walk away, and is the perfect place to spend the afternoon relaxing by the Atlantic ocean.

Spa & Wellness

Pampering and self-indulgence are run of the mill in Iberostar Mirador’s luxury spa. Soothe both body and mind in the enormous 1000 m2 space created as the ultimate indulgent experience.

Spa Sensations

This comprehensive spa complex offers a complete sensory experience. Take a dip in the hydrodynamic pool or choose from a range of luxury treatments, such as a hot stone massage or Turkish bath.

One of the best equipped fitness centres in Costa Adeje, guests can make use of the excellent facilities while enjoying views over the Atlantic Ocean.

The adult-only luxury hotel is top of the range when it comes to activities to keep you busy. But really, with a resort as beautiful as this, and the setting as stunning as here, just lounging in the sun is by far our preferred way of spending the day!

Golf

JOIA El Mirador by Iberostar is situated near five of the best golf courses in Tenerife. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy practising in the lavish green surroundings of Costa Adeje.

Pilates Classes

Guests wanting to revitalise their body through Pilates can join group sessions or take a private class. 

Squash

From beginners to pro players, guests can practise squash in the hotel’s court, as well as borrowing equipment. 

About the location

The fabulous resort of Costa Adeje effortlessly teams good looks with a relaxing atmosphere. Located in the southwest of Tenerife, it boasts one of the island’s most stylish beaches at your fingertips. This is bordered by a beautiful long promenade that is packed full of leisure and dining options. A gentle stroll will lead you to Veril beach (1 km away), La Enramada beach (1.2 km away), famous for its black volcanic sands and Duque Castle (2 km away). 


The one-time fishing village was a jewel waiting to be discovered. Golden shores and clear blue seas, plus almost year-round sunshine brought the wealthy middle classes flocking to Costa Adeje to make it one of the most coveted resort destinations in the world. But it hasn’t lost all its humble beginnings though - yes, luxury hotels may line the long swathes of sand and yes, upscale boutiques may tempt you, but Costa Adeje still retains its 15th-century charm. Adeje was one of the capitals of the many kingdoms of the original Guanche inhabitants on the island, the vestiges of which can be found in the little town that goes by the same name. 


It should come as no surprise that a resort that is bordered by crystal seas focuses much of its activities on the water. This stretches across all areas: achingly fresh seafood is the Costa Adeje speciality, while boat trips and whale and dolphin excursions provide much entertainment, whatever your age.
