Hotel Santo Tomas

very friendly hotel with great staff, great food. hotel in a nice position straight onto promanade and great position by beach. lovely swimming pool and grounds. plenty of sunbeds also indoor pool and sauna. we whent at end of season and it was very quite but dont think resort is a party place in high season.

Hotel Santo Thomas is a lovely hotel positioned on the sea front . All the staff are amazing Juan and Joanne are fabulous and reception are so welcoming and friendly I can not wait to return ! thank you to all of the team hope you all have a well earned rest

In May of this year I had a chance encounter at Ciutadella Hospital (another story!) with a man who told me he was staying at Hotel Santo Tomas, he went there regularly and couldn't recommend it highly enough. I decided to pop in and check it out and was so impressed by what I saw quickly booked a holiday there on our return to the UK. We had had a very difficult year and were looking for pure relaxation, which this hotel excels in. We received a lovely welcome on our arrival last week and refreshing drink and our superior sea view room close to reception was pointed out to us. What a gorgeous spacious room with an exceptional balcony and view! We had a topper put on our bed and it was very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and we very much welcomed the Green ethics in terms of toiletries that minimised plastics and towels only washed when on floor. The room was very well cleaned in a very thorough way. We love the relaxation areas in this hotel. In reception, by the bar area outside the restaurant, the terrace, around the pool and in the garden area. It was so comfortable and for the most part very peaceful. Unfortunately, for part of the week, there was a French family with about 4 children of school age left to run wild and scream around the pool all day and after dinner and the parents showed no respect for others at all and did nothing to stop them. We complained as did others. This is not a hotel for children, there are no facilities here for them. It is a hotel for relaxing. Thank you to the manager and staff who had a word with them. Moving on to nicer things, food!😊 The restaurant was excellent and with it's extensive offering, hard working staff and crisp table cloths, it felt like a proper restaurant, not a canteen. Great selection for breakfasts with an egg chef, cooking omelettes and pancakes and toasties! Lovely to see full cream, semi and skimmed options for milk. Lovely pastries. Dinner was also varied with Menorcan specialities, varieties of cheese and freshly cooked meat, fish and pasta. Lovely salad selection. Congratulations to the Maitre D' Juan Maron on his retirement. I can see he will be sorely missed. The bar was very good backed up by Malibu bar where you could sit and watch the sunset. Only 1 criticism here, the hotel bar opens at 3pm and Malibu does not serve freshly squeezed orange juice, so I had to wait until 3pm for the bar to open to get my juice. I had a relaxing massage while I was at the hotel, which was very nice apart from the loud ticking clock in the room, which is the last thing you want when relaxing. We chilled most days, dipped our feet in the sea in front of the hotel and hired a car from AutosMenorca for 1 day and visited the port at Mahon which was fantastic and very beautiful. So all in all we had a fabulous, peaceful holiday, thanks to this wonderful hotel, fabulous location, excellent friendly staff and the chance encounter at Ciutadella hospital that introduced us to this wonderful hotel in the first place.
