La Residencia, a Belmond Hotel is located in Mallorca’s rustic Tramuntana mountains, in a traditional village surrounded by natural beauty. It’s the perfect place for couples wanting to relax and immerse themselves in the tranquillity of the island. Choose from a wide range of tours, including arts and cultural excursions around Palma, hot air balloon rides and vespa rides along the coastline.

If you prefer to relax there is an onsite spa with excellent amenities, including a sauna and steam room, and a menu of treatments to help you unwind. Each of the restaurants serves unique dishes with a Mallorcan flair, with chic surroundings and breath taking views from the al fresco terraces. Local artworks from over 85 artists adorns the walls, while the rooms and suites boast fantastic views and elegantly decorated interiors.

Hotel child prices apply to ages 3–11 years. This hotel is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Café Miró

Enjoy a sophisticated dining experience as you take in the original Joan Miró artworks adorning the walls. Overlook the mountains and valleys from the terrace and listen to a live band in the evenings. The menu includes paella, vegetable lasagne and clams in white wine sauce.

El Olivo

Dine on the candlelit terrace as you soak in the views and choose from a la carte, tasting and vegetarian menus. The sommelier will pair excellent wines with dishes including fresh fish from the market, baked rack of lamb and lobster flavoured with plankton.

Son Fony

Sit by the swimming pool and take in the rugged mountain views as you choose from a delicious Mediterranean breakfast buffet. Choose from freshly baked breads and pastries, seasonal fruits from the orchard, organic eggs and more.

Pool Restaurant

Take in the views of the mountains and hotel swimming pool from the terrace as you choose from the salad buffet, expertly created cocktails and crisp Spanish wines. Sandwiches, pizzas and other light meals are also available.

The Secrets of Palma

Immerse yourself in Mallorca’s local art culture. Take a private art class, enjoy an art tour of the island, take a sculpture workshop with expert local creator or watch ceramics demonstrations. 

Donkey Trail

The hotel’s donkeys will take you on a tour through the hotel’s olive groves to a shepherd’s hut where you can take in the views and enjoy a delicious picnic full of local delicacies. 

Flying Tours

Take a helicopter or hot air balloon ride and take in the spectacular scenery of beautiful Mallorca from above. The helicopter excursion includes a trip to neighbouring Menorca where you can try some of the local lobster soup. 

Mountain Trek

The surrounding Tramuntana mountains have been awarded the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site status. Run or hike through the winding paths to be rewarded with incredible views. 

Vespa Excursions

Take a vespa along the mountain paths, with a mountainous backdrop on one side and the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean on the other. 

Cooking Classes

The hotel’s head chef will teach you the techniques and flavours behind delicious Mallorcan cuisine. You can also learn to infuse smoked meats and cheeses with olive oil.

About the location

La Residencia, a Belmond Hotel is located on Majorca’s north coast, in the town of Deia. Known to be Majorca’s most beautiful village, this countryside retreat has hosted some big names, including Mick Jagger and Richard Branson. Admire its luscious surroundings and traditional stone cottages, before immersing yourself in the fantastic cuisine and renowned Michelin starred restaurants. The olive groves, fruit trees and fertile soil make this the ideal place for foodies, with succulent produce and delicious local wines found in all of the restaurants. 

Those wanting to enjoy a quiet day at the beach will find the tranquil Cala Deia just five minutes away. This little cove is backed by a few restaurants and has a lively atmosphere, with the shelter from the surrounding cliffs keeping it warm throughout the year.
