Hotel Fariones

The Hotel Fariones is a beautiful hotel and, if like me you love a beach then it’s perfectly situated next to 2 different beaches. We found the staff and service fantastic across all departments. The food is also great in the hotel with a fanatic range for breakfast and the lunch time offering is perfect with lots of choices

I stayed in this magnificent hotel a few weeks ago and have just got around to writing a review. The hotel location is perfect as you're tucked away just minutes away from the Puerto Del Carmen strip. The hotel grounds are stunning and gives you a true sense of peace and tranquility. The palm trees surrounding the hotel are stunning and blocks the strong winds that can hit the island ans you can hear the leaves russling which was lovely. You've got 2 heated jacuzzi's over looking the beach which was nice. Plenty of sun beds with stunning walk ways which gives you a sense of being somewhere tropical. If you want to relax this is the place to be an dare I say the best hotel on the island. Even though it's not adults only I still felt as though it was which, was a huge bonus for me as I could relax without any kids screaming or running around. The hotel has direct access to 2 public sandy beaches which was nice meaning you can enjoy beautiful walks which I did everyday. Rooms are all with a sea view modern and clean. I opted for the junior suite, I loved waking up to hear the sea and admired the sun set and sunrise. The amenities are of high class. I liked the fact that all rooms included free water, crisps and chocolate. I liked the evening down turn service. The service on the most part was good. The lady who welcomed us during check it was very friendly, helpful and always had a smile. Most hotel staff would greet you with a warm smile. There was maybe one or two during the breakfast who didn't smile or anything. There is very light evening entertainment such as a piano player, background music etc. No singers shows or anything. Which wasn't an issue for me as the area has plenty of entertainment in the form of bars. My only few gripes would be the fact that the pool is freezing cold so it is a struggle getting in. The breakfast was average for the cost of the hotel so I'd recommend improvements there with buffet breakfast food needing to be hot and with more flavour and variety of food. For vegetarians not that I am one your options are limited. If you want a vegetarian omelette the pan is only wiped with a tissue so there might be residual bits or ham on the frying pans. I'd recommend having a separate one for vegetarians. Also maybe increase staff around the breakfast area. Often I felt I had to call staff over for drinks or clearing the plates on my table, also my drinks order was often wrong perhaps due to a language barrier or being short staffed. Overall I would come back here and would recommend anyone to visit on a bed and breakfast basis and there's plenty of bars and restaurants around. I can also see they are making a spa area with a sauna, steam, jacuzzi. Once this is done the hotel is near perfect and has all that you need for a well deserved relaxing holiday. This is a truly 5 star hotel.
