Barcelo Fuerteventura Royal Level – Family Club

We stayed here for 7 nights over Xmas 2024. Arrived at around 6pm and the reception was welcoming but they talked really quickly and it's hard to absorb the information given when you are weary. We had an upstairs apartment which was roomy. Coffee machine, kettle, fridge etc. but no milk. We had to buy some at the reception, which was a good walk away. Food generally good quality, lots of choice, temperature was a bit intermittent, no probes checking the temperature, poached eggs were cold by 8am, which was disappointing. I did order freshly cooked eggs one morning to my table, and told the waitress I wanted them "caliente" not "frio" but she made no comment or apology. The other issue was that not many dishes were labelled so it was hit or miss what you were getting. One night there was a Barbecue outside but no one bothered to tell us. I asked for an Aperol Spritz one evening but was told they couldn't provide it even though the pool bar backed onto the restaurant bar, which was a bit strange. Pool area very nice but people were putting towels out early at breakfast time, so by 10am there were only beds in the shade under the palms. Pool was very nice and warm, a joy to swim in. Our main issue was the area of the bar. It was not large enough for the amount of people staying there. I think the management expected guests to go to the other hotels, but we didn't want to go to an area with children, considering we had paid for Adults only. Staff were helpful and tried to find us seats but the area was just not big enough. Also there is no inside bar area and the first few nights were windy, making it uncomfortable to sit out at night. Good points: staff were lovely and friendly, gardens nice but the pathways could have been swept more as there were lots of little fruit dropped off the trees everywhere. Pool area was cleaned daily. Rooms cleaned well. The snack bar along the beach was always rammed so we didn't get in there. We booked one of the restaurants by the marina through the app but when we walked down there, they wanted some sort of voucher which we didn't have with us, so they wouldn't give us any food, which was not helpful service! Good technology with the app so why do we have to resort to old fashioned paper vouchers? Weather was windy and cloudy at first which was disappointing. Overall I would give it 8 out of 10. It wasn't as exclusive as the website makes out. I would not rush back there unfortunately but overall we did have an enjoyable holiday.

Stunning hotel, beautiful rooms & wonderful staff. The food is so amazing we upgraded to all inclusive. Lovely entertainment at night to chill with. We are in our last night here and will definitely return again. Weather topped off too. Thank you

Thank you so much for a perfect visit . We have had a difficult year and the support shown was exemplary , Rooms are perfect ours had a sea view . Pool warm snd staff all helpful Food at breakfast and service was one of the best I have experienced . I did venture to the Mexican and Brazilian restaurant but I would recommend staying at the Royal Level the service and food not ideal . Thank you again
