Domes Lake Algarve Residences

Just returned for yet another short break at Domes Lake and I have to say this is definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed at throughout the world. Infact the only hotel I have returned to and now on 5th visit. Everything about this hotel is amazing. The service is second to none. The hotel is clean and tidy and so well looked after. For us, a short plane from the uk is must visit for a one or 2 night stay. You are so close to lots of lovely restaurants and bars even though the food and drink here is superb. Pedro the waiter around the beach can not do enough for you and Rita the Guest Relations Supervisor is the best there is. Nothing is too much. I will be back in June with M mum for her first stay at Domes Lake. I will see you then. Thank you again for all you have done to make our stay the best.

Travelled with an Easy Jet package for 5 days, with 23kg and transport to and from hotel. March 17th - March 21st for my birthday treat. We stayed half board. Transfer time was around 25 minutes from airport by taxi. Got a lovely welcome from staff on arrival and our luggage was taken whilst we started the check in progress with Alexandre. He told us where to go to breakfast and set up of the hotel. And explained that they had upgraded us to a suite. My husband had booked us The Emerald room with Romantic package and paid for the Concierge room for use between 10am -11.30pm. This room is only available to guests and doors only open by use of your room card. Inside the areas to seat and there’s a selection of nibbles, cakes , yogurts. Tea, Coffee, cold drinks, pull your own beer and cider from the pumps. A lovely area to chill in. This hotel is spotless and all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our suite was huge! As you walk in there was a door to the right which was a bathroom consisting of a walk in shower, toilet and basin. Towels and dressing gowns. In the main living room area was a huge tv and sofa, arm chair and coffee table. The cupboard houses the safe ( free to use) mini fridge . And French doors leading to a small balcony with a table & 2 chairs. The view was fabulous, overlooking the man made beach area. In the distance you can see the sea. To the left through trees you can see boats in the harbour, to the right you can see the outdoor restaurant and some of the first pool. A partial sliding door brings you into the main bedroom. Huge comfortable bed, very large tv, dressing table and wardrobe space. Door leading to a bathroom with a jet bath, walk in shower and basin and other door with toilet and sink. The wood floors creeped a lot so creeping to the bathroom during the night was a waste of time as the floor boards gave you away lol. This room also had french doors and its own balcony, again with patio table and two chairs. Same view as the other balcony but with side views of both pools. One of the main pools was heated, plenty of sunbeds and cabanas. There is a QR code to order drinks to your sunbed. Hotel beach towels can be collected at the towel desk that’s nearest the man made beach. Breakfast : Was plentiful with choices of hams, cheeses, breads, toaster machines x 2, fruits, pastries and good of hot food of sausages, hash browns, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs how you like them ie poached, fried or omelette with a selection of fillings. Smoothies, fresh orange , tea and coffee available. Lunch Resturant had a great selection and portion sizes were very good. Chicken, burgers, salads, waffles just some of the selection. Very tasty meals. Dinner ( evening) Salad, bread rolls, meats, veg, soups, pizza, choices of desserts ie cakes, cheesecake. Crackers and cheeses. Sweet selection too. Order drinks and charge them to your room. The grounds are very well kept, with different birds enjoying the area. Hotel does a bird watching session. Paddle boards and canoes available for use on the lake. Walk though the grounds and use the electric gate and your near the beach, literally walk across the road and the beach isn’t far with a short walk to the left, across the bridge on your right and your on a beautiful long beach. To the left is a new marina that’s nearly ready. The main marina isn’t far, 5 minute walk and you’ll see boats of all sizes. Lots of bars and restaurants, few shops too located all around the marina. There’s Ubers in the area and we caught one to Faro as we wanted to go to a Steak Resturant we found a couple of years before. There’s a large golf course down the road called Vila Sol for those golfers out there. We used the hotel Spa as in our package we had a head massage and neck massage. Then we used the indoor pool and the jacuzzi pools. There’s sunbeds in there and towels. Also a couple of cold showers and a small corridor brings you to a Sauna and Steam rooms . There’s cups and water available to drink. Would we stay here again, yes without a doubt! We had a lovely 5 days / 4 night stay. Such a comfortable and relaxing stay and the staff can’t do enough for you. Big thanks to Alexandre, your kindness and helpfulness was much appreciated, as was our room upgrade. The lovely touch of a wine in our room on arrival to the birthday cake and bottle of bubbly was so thoughtful. Thank you.
