Set in extensive grounds bordering a lake, Domes Lake Algarve Residences, is an enviable location - set in between the golden sands of Falésia beach and a lively marina. There’s lots to keep younger children occupied - the superb kids club makes sure of that - while older children will no doubt revel in the more urban charms of nearby Vilamoura. 

To say the residences are grandiose is no overstatement. Marble floors shine opulently, enormous picture windows flood the residences with light and fresh flowers everywhere reassure you of the residences’ uniquely elegant style. Outside the grounds are no less impressive; the vast gardens are filled with exotic flowers that bloom that all year round, while three outdoor swimming pools, including a kids-only one and a sand-bottomed one, provide ample opportunities for cooling off. There’s also a seawater lake, an incredibly well-equipped spa and a host of activities that includes kayaking, golf and complimentary cycles for off the beaten track discovery of the region.  

There are five-star dining options aplenty at the resort, but we believe that no trip to Portugal is complete without sampling a few of the local restaurants. We thoroughly recommend reserving at least one night away from the residences’ excellent dining venues for an evening of tasting the local food and enjoying a glass of Vino Regional. Take the short stroll into lovely Vilamoura to discover the tasty treats the town has to offer.

It’s only natural that a resort of this calibre would offer five-star food and drink. The floating restaurant is one of the residences’ star attractions, but there are many options for the culinarily curious. Enjoy poolside burgers, vegan options and some of the best mojitos to be had on the island. 

Gustatio

Enjoy delicious breakfast buffets, Portuguese comfort cuisine with a Mediterranean twist, and mouth-watering desserts for fitting finales.

BLEND Nikkei

Blend Nikkei is an unforgettable dining experience anchored on a captivating floating esplanade. Blend Nikkei pairs an eclectic wine selection with dishes that fuse Japanese and Peruvian influences, using the freshest local ingredients. SORA is a secluded lakeside retreat in the adults-only area, offering a tranquil escape. Enjoy refreshing beverages and delectable sushi bites while savouring the flavours of Japan by the lake. This serene setting completes the richness of the experience.

Beach & Pools

If the three fantastic outside pools are not enough to keep you cool, then why not head down to the beautiful, clean, sandy beach that is only a few steps from the Domes Lake Algarve Residences. The beach is simply beautiful - backed by red cliffs that seem to go on forever, the golden sands and the emerald seas are a sight to behold! 

Swimming Pools

There are four pools in total, all with fresh water. Three of the pools are outside, surrounded by trees and sunbathing areas with loungers and parasols, and one of these is heated for use in winter whilst another has a sandy floor, overlooking the resort’s salt-water lake. The fourth pool is the indoor heated pool, located by the Spa.

Beach

Vilamoura Beach is just a five-minute walk from the resort, or you can head to Falesia, which is 300 metres away. Falesia is Portugal’s longest beach with white sands, Golden Flag status and calm water ideal for water sports and swimming.

Adults Only Swimming Pool

Exclusively for adults, this swimming pool offers an oasis of relaxation. Take a dip in the refreshing waters and cool off from the heat of the sun. There is also a food truck nearby for snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Kiepos Kids Club

Kiepos Kids Club is operated on a complimentary basis, for children between 4 - 12 years old. Whilst for the younger members of the family, a Creche is available, with a charge per session. Baby sitting services are also available upon request on an hourly charge. 
 
The Creche & Kids Clubs are operated under strict OFSTED standards, ‘Worldwide Kids’ brand and Montessori practices. During their experience, children will have the opportunity to take part in creative, ecological, and environmentally sustainable activities.

Enjoy a range of activities for all the family, including water sports and horse riding. Guests have access to a multi sports court where they can play Football / Basketball / Volleyball / Tennis. Gym, Table Tennis and Cycling is also available onsite. Golfers can benefit from the close proximity to Vilamoura’s five nearby golf courses too.

About the location

The Algarve is the jewel in Portugal’s sun, sea and sandy crown. The region is known for its soaring cliffs and sea caves, golden beaches and gorgeous gastronomy, natural treasures and hilly hinterland. Vilamoura, where the Domes Lake Algarve Residences is situated, is a beachy heaven and a perfect encapsulation of the Algarve’s Atlantic appeals. Head straight for the long and wide expanse of this famous beach - it’s over six km long so there’s plenty of room for everyone - where you can kick back and enjoy soft, honey-coloured sands and gentle waves rolling ashore.  

Vilamoura might not be quite as well-known as its superstar neighbour Albufeira but that’s just the way we like it. Quieter and far more authentic than some of the other resorts on the region’s extraordinary coastline, Vilamoura is small, quiet and perfect for those who are looking for luxury fun in the sun. It’s not all peace and harmony though - Vilamoura has one of the glitziest marinas in the Algarve and thus has many upscale bars and restaurants that cater to the well-heeled crowd. Settle into one of these and enjoy a plate of juicy sardines cooked over an open fire, with glasses of wine pressed from the vineyards nearby. 

If you want to stretch your wings a little further, then history lovers might like to note that the Moorish trading outpost of Lagos is just an hour away. Here you can visit a coastline dotted with gaping sea caves, set below crumbling coastal fortresses. The natural marine park Ria Formosa, considered as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal, is only a 30-minute drive from Domes Lake Algarve Residences. Combine a trip here with a visit to Faro for an extra special taste of Portugal’s charms.
