Parga Beach Resort is both contemporary and cool - 201 rooms and suites are built from reclaimed local stone, with breezy chic interiors. Accommodation is set out in individual Venetian-style bungalows, sprinkled throughout the verdant century-old olive groves and lovely garden. The 5-star hotel sits on Valtos Beach, which is one of the best beaches in the region, and the area in front of the hotel has been awarded a Blue Flag. A large section of the beach is reserved exclusively for hotel guests, so take the short stroll and gaze at the beautiful views of Parga Castle, swim in the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea and allow yourself to relax, recharge and reboot.

The hotel is centred around seven swimming pools including a children’s heated pool with plenty of sun loungers and parasols for everyone to enjoy. Beautiful gardens are home to over 500 plants and flowers and the resort’s pride and joy, so do take a stroll through them to discover the local flora.

Choose from various treatments including hammam sessions, couples massage, aromatherapy, yoga classes, spinning or simply just keeping fit in the gym.

For Families

The Kids Club is designed and operated by World Wide Kids with lots of activity options, while the children’s heated pool makes sure little ones make a splash while on holiday. A choice of indoor and outdoor playgrounds (with protective sun nets) and a well-stocked games room will keep teenagers and adults happy, whether playing table football, table tennis or simply enjoying a good old-fashioned board game.

About the location

Set on the northwest Grecian mainland, about 400 km from Athens, sits Parga. This dreamy holiday hotspot ticks all the boxes. Laid back authenticity? Yes. Turquoise waters pierced by rocky islets? Yes. Soft golden sands? Yes. Masses of history from the 11th century castle to the 15th century Venetian ruins and dramatic archaeological site Necromanteion of Acheron? Yes, yes and yes.

Parga may be small, but it is perfectly formed. The little town boasts numerous beaches, bays and islands along its stretch of coastline, so unsurprisingly much of the activity is centred on the fabulous Ionian Sea. This continues whether you are above or below the waves. The crystal waters don’t only look good, they are packed with reef fish and, if you go a little further out, hopefully dolphins and even whales will cross your path. Take a boat excursion to one of the many nearby Ionian islands and you’ll really be in for a treat.
Saunter along the pedestrian promenade after sunset, and you’ll find a plethora of seafront tavernas and bars that fill the evenings with entertainment.

The town is dominated by the castle which today lies in romantic ruin. Originally built in the 11th century to protect Parga from pirates, the existing ramparts were added by the Venetians during their reign in the 15th century. The castle is a must-see if you want to hear walls hum with 600+ years of turbulent history.

Much of Parga’s industry pre-tourism was based around olive oil production so it would be a shame to miss a visit to the Paragaea Olive Oil Museum. The museum is found in the former olive-oil factory, which was operational from 1929 until 1974 - the fruit from the centuries old trees surrounding Parga Beach Resort was destined for production of the town’s liquid gold, which is a souvenir you must take home.
