Porto Sani is one of the top resorts in Greece and has won awards for its impressive facilities and luxury accommodation. The resort is designed as a small village set in the bustling Sani Marina, close to 1,000-acre nature reserve on the stunning Kassandra peninsula. Guests can enjoy the beautiful stretch of beach, which leads down to the topaz Aegean Sea.

The 98 completely refurbished, luxury suites are perfect for families, offering up to three bedrooms and situated right at the heart of the resort, surrounding the swimming pools. There’s a full water sports programme offering everything from scuba diving to water skiing, and a variety of on-land facilities such as tennis courts, football pitches and gyms.

Adults can relax in the new spa with a tailored treatment while kids up to age 17 take part in the clubs. When it comes to dining, you’re spoilt for choice with more than 26 restaurants across Sani serving everything from Japanese to Greek and also includes the magnificent ‘El Puerto’ – Porto Sani’s new modern Spanish restaurant. Other top resort features include outdoor heated swimming pools and a Chelsea FC football academy and a Rafa Nadal academy.

Swimming Pool

Porto Sani resort has a huge, lagoon-style swimming pool suitable for all the family. There’s a dedicated pool for young children as well as an adult only pool. Pools are heated for use in the cooler season.

Beach

Kick back on Sani Resort’s exclusive Sea You Beach, which has showers, sunbeds and towels for guests. Soft white sands lead down to the azure sea, which is shallow and perfect for children. The Beach Buddy service will deliver drinks to your sun lounger and a complimentary 30-minute Babewatch service is available so you can relax while trained staff look after your children.

For Families

Sani Crèche

The Crèche is an early years care service run by the in-house experienced Little Guests team. Focused on providing the youngest guests with new experiences to spark their curiosity!

At Sani Resort, the safety and wellbeing of your children is a priority, so you'll find fully equipped childcare facilities operating to UK OFSTED standards, policies and procedures.

The qualified Crèche staff look after those as young as four months and up to four years.

The Crèche runs three sessions a day, seven days a week:
10:00am – 13:00pm
13:00pm – 15:00pm
15:00pm – 18:00pm

Private babysitting is available from 18:30 each evening during your stay. This is charged at €15 per hour, payable directly to your babysitter. For babysitting after 22:45, there is an extra charge of €15 for taxi transport. Maximum 3 children per sitter and if there are two children under one years old, a second babysitter will be required. Sessions can be booked online or via the Sani Resort app.

A private nanny is also available 7 days per week until 18:30 pm each day, and is available upon request, subject to availability.

Kids Club

Run by the in-house experienced Little Guests team, there is a focus on providing children with the opportunity to explore the magic of Sani so that they can make lasting memories and most importantly have lots of fun!

There is an exciting selection of complimentary activities, running each morning and afternoon, designed especially for children between 4 and 12 years old. Sani’s Little Guests can learn a new skill, make new friends in one of the Sani Clubs and explore the surrounding forest.

Highly trained, multilingual staff provide safety and supervision in the form of entertainment, such as Mini-Olympic Games on the beach, short trips, picnics and parties.

Ozone - Teen House

From hip hop dance and archery to beach volleyball and scuba-diving, there’s always something new to discover for teens at Sani Resort.

Designed exclusively for teens aged 12 – 17 to enjoy some independent fun, located in the buzzing Sani Marina and open from 10 – 10 every day, the Teen House offers young guests a superb range of activities, or the chance to chill out at their own snack bar and make new friends.

Whilst most activities are complimentary, some may incur charges.

Spa & Wellness

The Spa Suite

Pamper yourself in the sensuous spa, which offers a range of treatments by Anne Semonin plus a thermal area with a sauna and hammam. Treat yourself to a tailor-made, aromatherapy massage with essential oils in one of seven private treatment rooms. Signature treatments include the Polynesian Massage Escape and Volcanic Thermal Stone Massage. For a romantic treat, there’s a couples’ suite with a private steam bath.

Porto Sani Resort has a selection of fitness studios and gyms which boasts the latest Technogym training equipment. Studios have windows looking out to the sea and there’s a range of fitness classes on offer, including yoga and aqua aerobics, as well as personal trainers on hand.

Water Sports

Head to the beach for water sports such as paddle boarding, windsurfing and kayaking. There’s also a water ski and sailing academy and PADI dive school.

Land Sports

Porto Sani offers a bike club, six tennis courts with instructors, archery and running trails. Take part in daily events such as table tennis, volleyball and basketball. If you love football, there’s a five-a-side pitch to play on, plus the exclusive Chelsea FC football academy.

Organised Activities

Other activities include olive tasting, sunset cruises, forest walks and birdwatching. You can also indulge in an art class, watch a show at the Garden Theatre or take part in the new eco-activities programme.

About the location

Porto Sani is in a fantastic location, overlooking Sani’s luxury port in Halkidiki on mainland Greece. Here you’ll find a collection of upmarket bars, restaurants and shops, as well as luxury yachts and super yachts docking for the evening. Those wanting to indulge in some retail therapy can browse the designer shops in the town, or simply head to one of the many spas.

If you prefer to take in the natural beauty of the area, spend long days on one of the nearby sandy beaches, or hike and mountain bike in the forests surrounding the town. Boat trips will take you around spectacular Mount Athos, which was said to be the home of the gods according to ancient Greek mythology.

Mostly highlights with a few gripes

This was our second visit to Porto Sani having previously come during peak July season a few years ago. The hotel remains very impressive: - it is a very attractive hotel and resort throughout, with fantastically maintained buildings and gardens. - the effect of the multi hotel with their own identity/one resort concept is that it has the feeling of being a small town, with the marina providing a lovely focal point, rather than just another soulless hotel that could be anywhere. - the breadth of facilities and activities available is impressive. The football academy in particular wipes the floor with anything offered by equivalent hotels. - the number of restaurant choices is excellent, and the ability to make use of the options at the other resort hotels is a great feature. - the majority of the staff work hard to ensure you have the best stay possible. There was inevitably a slightly different vibe in the October half term to that experienced over the summer. The hotel feels as if it is in wind down mode, with staff visibility and service levels (around the pool, at the beach, in restaurants) a little slower than on show in the summer and we experienced a small number of other frustrations: - access to activities / facilities / restaurants: in the October half term, real time availability of many of the popular activities (tree top adventure, Bear Grylls camp, kids club, evening restaurants) can be stretched. - F&B programme: notwithstanding that the choice is great, the dine around/credit system (adopted in place of the all inclusive approach at obvious rival hotels) has its shortcomings. The 'included set menu' options are often limited with the superior a la Carte options priced unrealistically, meaning the 'credit' is insufficient to cover most main courses. - Cost: as several other reviews have commented, the Sani takes 'captive resort' pricing a bit far: no complimentary water at meals is a particular bug bear. All that said, its hard not to leave the Sani happy and thinking it does these types of holidays better than anyone else in the top tier price bracket.
