Luxury La Romana Holidays

A taste of the Caribbean

La Romana

La Romana is a wonderful destination located on the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic looking out over the blue Caribbean Sea. One of the main attractions here is Altos de Chaon, a 16th century replica of a Mediterranean village with pretty cobbled streets, an amphitheatre and artisan shops. Some famous movies like “The Lost City” with Sandra  Bullock and Daniel Radcliffe have also been filmed here.

Holidays to La Romana promise gorgeous white sandy beaches and a laid back atmosphere with excellent clear waters for snorkelling, diving and other water sports. Saona Island (Isla Saona) is just off the coast of La Romana and is a popular day trip excursion for lovers of snorkelling where you’ll find lots of starfish and turtles.

Look out for 'Mama Juana' in shops or on drinks menus. It's a potent mix of rum, red wine, herbs and honey that's meant to cure everything - it's delicious!
