Ancient Paphos Archaeological Site

Paphos Archaeological Site is UNESCO listed and is home to impressive Roman villas that have well preserved mosaics hidden inside. You will also find the Sanctuary of Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love. Showcasing the rich history and heritage, the site is split into several zones where you can discover significant ruins and artefacts, symbols of the site’s historical importance.

Tombs of the Kings

The Tombs of the Kings is an ancient burial site dating back to the Roman and Hellenistic periods. Although a burial site, it actually refers to the architectural style and grandeur of the tombs. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it offers a glimpse into the customs and practices of burials in the past. Some of the tombs feature beautifully designed frescoes that depict scenes from daily life and religious symbols.

Aphrodite’s Rock

Located along the coast, you can visit the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Rising out of the sea you can enjoy panoramic views of the ocean and see where she was born from the sea foam near this rock. Legend states that she emerged fully grown from here making this the symbol of her birthplace. Serene and picturesque, visitors can enjoy swimming in the clear azure waters.

Adonis Baths
