Without further ado, introducing the latest destination in our Sovereign Spotlight series…SPAIN!

Spain is one of the most popular holiday destinations and it’s clear to see why. It offers something for everyone. Whether you’re after relaxing in the sun from a comfortable lounger or want a history exploration through the fascinating culture, Spain has you covered, including some of the most sensational landscapes in the world.

Lanzarote

Lanzarote offers the ideal combination of large luxury resorts among stunning natural landscapes. Situated close to the coast of northwest Africa, this is a year-round summer sensation. The warm temperatures along with the golden sand beaches provide the ideal location for you to relax in the sun and enjoy a siesta or two.

Lanzarote is the perfect place for a family-friendly holiday with many resorts catering to younger guests. Activities, kids' clubs, and all-out fun await your little ones. For adults, there are adults-only resorts where you can let your hair down and take in the tranquil spas and gourmet restaurants.

To fully embrace Lanzarote’s landscapes, a trip to Puerto del Carmen is a must. Here, you’ll have the massive volcanic mountains as a backdrop while sunbathing on the golden sands.

For the adventurers, there is no shortage of exciting activities, including boat trips, mountain biking, and some sensational hiking trails throughout the island.

If relaxing and savouring the best local cuisine is on your to-do list, the town of Playa Blanca is the place to be. Long stretches of sand sheltered by rugged cliffs within secluded coves are home to some of the island's most luxurious resorts. The lively marina is full to the brim with restaurants and bars where you can indulge in some of the best cuisine Lanzarote has to offer.

Costa del Sol

Costa del Sol offers a diverse range of holiday types, from bustling restaurants and bars on the beachfront to charming little towns with narrow streets. What brings most to this stunning region are the expansive beaches along the coast with activities everyone can enjoy. Whether you’re after relaxing at the shore or exciting water sports, Costa del Sol has it all.

Heading inland will take you to scenic mountains with small villages dotted throughout. Here, you’ll find the quintessential, white-washed houses among the lush mountainsides. If you’re looking for secluded tranquillity, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Luxury and elegance await in Marbella, with a cosmopolitan atmosphere full of glamour. Whether you’re looking for luxury wine tasting or family fun on the golden sands, Marbella has something for everyone.

Tenerife

There is no doubt that Tenerife is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Spain. It is home to the iconic Mount Teide, the third-largest volcano in the world. Situated within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Teide National Park, this mammoth volcano stands at 3,718m above sea level.

Boasting year-round sunshine, this island is where you want to be for soaking up the hot Spanish sun. Spending the day watching the tide roll in from the comfort of your lounger with a cocktail in hand will have you drifting away from all your worries. Some of the best beach resorts can be found in Costa Adeje, with luxurious boutique hotels, spas, and beach clubs.

If discovering the rich cultural history of Tenerife sounds like an ideal holiday, a trip to Puerto de la Cruz will have history buffs satisfied.

Majorca

Picturesque fishing villages, golden sandy bays, and a bustling capital await in Majorca. As the largest of the Balearic Islands, Majorca has it all. Whether you’re travelling solo, with family, or as a couple, the sky is the limit.

In the capital, Palma has everything your heart desires. From a lively marina with exquisite shops to a historic cathedral that will take you back in time. The food here is superb with incredibly crafted cocktails and cuisines at the many local restaurants.

A trip to Pollensa will take you through historical buildings with a large bay overlooking the gorgeous ocean. While the town of Deia is one of the most beautiful in Spain, so an absolute must-visit.

For adventure seekers, Majorca offers the holiday of a lifetime with hiking and biking on the agenda with loads of water sports in the warm, inviting ocean.
