“Nowadays, children are being welcomed into our luxury resorts with a teddy bear, their own special bathrobe and towelling slippers,” adds Karen. “It’s not unusual to find a child-focused restaurant, or the chance for youngsters to tuck into a healthy afternoon snack hour.”

There’s glamour and thrills for younger guests of this five-star resort thanks to Ritz Kids. This unique indoor-outdoor kids’ club boasts eight different zones, and focuses on conservation, learning, discovery, and play.

For example, in the scientific zone, your kids get to learn about the human body or examine local flora and fauna as they take a botanical tour of the resort. Or should they wish, they can help grow vegetables in the resort garden!

Children can go stargazing in the planetarium, learn music and cabaret in the theatre space, play in the Lego® zone, or work with clay and make jewellery in the handicraft zone.

There’s also an amazing selection of films, game consoles, and books, a karting track, a funny gym, and plenty of talent contests, quiz nights, puppet shows, and gaming competitions. You can use the resort’s app to make reservations for specific activities.

ZAFIRO PALACE ALCUDIA - MAJORCA

This all-inclusive five-star hotel is ideal for families. Not only does it have a specific adults-only area with a swimming pool and swim-up bar, a relaxing spa, and a golf course nearby, children are welcomed by the resort’s friendly koala mascot, Yzzy.

There’s plenty of water fun with a pirate ship pool with tunnels and slides and a wet bubble pool for climbing. There are three clubs for children that meet the needs of different age groups, from treasure hunts and football matches or Olympic games to theatre and live performances, foam parties, and handicrafts.
