Hello Dubai!

In April 2022, some lucky members of the Sovereign Luxury Travel team jetted off to Dubai for a week to experience the city and all it has to offer. One of the team members invited, was our Email Marketing Manager, David. Read on to find out all about David’s Dubai adventure.

DUBAI IS LARGER THAN LIFE

“Dubai has always fascinated me. The idea that this sprawling city was constructed on land reclaimed from the sea still blows my mind, even after multiple visits! And that’s not the only thing that blows my mind about Dubai.

Everything is larger than life. Take the Burj Khalifa for example, the world’s tallest building. Head to the 125th floor observation deck, and it’s hard not to be impressed as you gaze across the city’s grandeur in all its 360° view glory.

Then there’s Ain Dubai, the world’s highest observation wheel, which is more than double the size of the London Eye.

I think the best phrase to describe the city is, ‘If you can do it, Dubai can do it bigger and better.’

You need at least four days to experience all the urban centre has to offer - whether that’s roaming the colossal designer malls for tax-free shopping or taking in the many family-friendly theme parks that bring out your inner child. The beaches overlooking the glittering Arabian Sea - just, wow.

Dubai is ideal for sun worshippers and anyone who loves the heat - but even if you don’t you’ll always find a shaded, cool corner, a refreshing breeze, and ice-laden cocktails!”

INTO PALM ISLAND

“On my most recent visit to Dubai, I was lucky enough to spend several nights at Atlantis, The Palm, the first hotel to open on the iconic Palm Island, occupying the most enviable position at the end of the island’s crescent.

Atlantis, The Palm is so globally renowned, it really needs no introduction. Yet its reality hit me when I arrived and gazed up at the impressive 22 storeys of classical Arabian architecture.

YOU CAN SNEAK AWAY FROM THE KIDS!

“While Atlantis, The Palm works hard to ensure the whole family is entertained, there are always adult-only areas that provide a haven to relax in.

We were lucky enough to have access to the WHITE Beach Club during our stay. This exclusive adults-only area is the perfect place to completely unwind on the comfortable sun loungers. Personally, this was my favourite part of the entire hotel. The pool, staff, beach, and views of the city made it absolute perfection.”

CLUB LIFE IS 100% WORTH IT

“As you would imagine, the rooms are luxurious and comfortable. We stayed in an Imperial Club Room with Palm View, which gave us exclusive access to the Imperial Club Lounge.

This includes a separate check-in area, breakfast facilities, and a sunset terrace, where we enjoyed complimentary pre-dinner drinks. Imperial Club rooms also give you access to your own section at the private Imperial Club Beach.
