OLD MILL RESTAURANT ELOUNDA MARE, CRETE

Located around an ancient millstone in the midst of gnarly olive trees, this all fresco fine-dining restaurant celebrates the timeless Cretan cuisine with a fusion twist. Since it opened 30 years ago, it’s received many Toque d'Or awards. Starters include cold beetroot soup with goat yoghurt and mastic aroma, while mains like grouper fillet in Cretan greens, braised fennel and shellfish sauce flavoured with Ouzo, are sure to tempt you.

The highly esteemed Beefbar was born out of Monte Carlo, but its Mykonos beach location in the shade of mulberry trees is breath-taking. Owned by Bill & Coo Suites and Lounge, Beefbar is a 10 minute drive away. Steak lovers will be in seventh heaven, but the local fishermen are also hard at work so you can feast on fresh melon sea bass ceviche, octopus tacos, and lobster rolls.
