On the western coast of mainland Greece, the pretty town of Parga is worth a visit. With lots of tavernas and coloured houses, you can feel fully immersed in the culture. Take a trip up to the castle standing proud above the village. The views from here are simply incredible. Built in the 14th century, it has seen a tumultuous past and a rich history lingers. Relax on the golden sandy beach and watch the fishing boats bob about on the horizon. Wander through the narrow streets and stop off at the authentic little shops or head to the olive oil museum for a tasting.
