Staying at the Olivar suites, take one evening to visit the local Tavern Bacchus. It’s an amazing location right on the beach with local food, and a chance to mix with locals in a really relaxed atmosphere.

1. What was your most memorable holiday meal?

Lunch at the Italian restaurant Maccaroni in Sani Resorts Marina. The setting is lovely and the authentic Italian cuisine is sensational.

2. What is the best thing about being abroad?

Being able to escape from the real world.

3. Where would you go next and why?

Mauritius, I’ve never been before and it looks so beautiful. I want to learn more about it as a destination. It intrigues me that there is always something to do. I love learning about new cultures, and I think Mauritius offers a lot in terms of discovering its history and learning more about its people.

Greece, the food is so fresh, it’s the one place in the world where I will order a simple salad and genuinely enjoy it. The weather is also fantastic for exploring the history and culture. I love learning about the history of a destination and discovering more about the Greek Gods in actual Greece is such a pleasure.

Like when we arrived, rather than standing at the front desk and waiting, we were offered a seat outside on the terrace with a drink in hand looking at the fantastic view.
